The motivation behind the development of our new Fish Whistle was to provide an option for anglers wanting to tackle some of those bigger fish on a smaller rod. We often get requests from saltwater anglers wanting to chase juvenile snook and tarpon in the mangroves or freshwater folks wanting to up their fun level on a float for smallies or trout. We set out to design a lighter 6wt rod with a moderately fast action, saltwater safe guides AND a fighting butt. We think we nailed it!
